Born Ugochi Ijoma-Nwosu in Lagos, Nigeria, Zamar's love for rap music was birthed as a child listening to classic hip-hop records of the greats; Nas, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Bone-Thugs N Harmony among others. That love blossomed in her high school days at Federal Government Girls, Abuloma where she became the most acclaimed rapper in the whole school.
