
Elements of Style
Elements of Style, based out of ATL, the hip hop capital of the world, has one mission: to bring back the lyrical content and musical production of classic Boom Bap with their own spin. Branding their unique organic instrument sound as “Goth-pop-hop”, the elements of their style can be described in multiple ways.
Formed in 2012 by Atlanta guitarist Gram Wire, the group had multiple lineup changes as an alternative hip hop group in the Atlanta area. The band eventually came into their own with the one of a kind lineup of Andy Greene Ball on bass and vocals, David Goodwin on Drums and percussion and the Master of Ceremonies himself Zach Fortnight at the helm. Their influences of Rage Against the Machine, Cypress Hill, Run the Jewels, 21 Pilots, Outkast, Big K.R.I.T., 2 Chainz, Gorillaz, Nirvana, The Beatles and Sublime (to name a small portion of the band’s favorites) come out in hip hop based songs like “Vanilla Heroin” and “ATLtude” (pronounced Atlanta-tude) and their live performances deliver as one of the most high energy, intensely creative shows you’ll ever see....more
