Jawny BadLuck

New Mexico’s very own, Jawny BadLuck is a fresh addition to the rap genre. Known for his clean-cut style and boy-next-door mien, his journey to becoming Jawny BadLuck was anything but. Rebellious teen years that included bouts of drug use and dealing led him down a path he was unsure he’d ever stray from. It was a stint in rehab during his junior year of high school that served as a wake up call and he began to turn his life around. Originally a drummer, BadLuck eventually found his voice through rap and made the transition to MC. However, BadLuck was perspicacious and knew it was important to create a financial backing for himself to achieve his musical goals. Upon graduating from one of America’s elite audio production schools, BadLuck found himself working as an AV tech for corporate business seminars. He wanted in on the action and pulled off something remarkable - he was offered a position in the very company he set up AV for. Getting involved in said business ventures allowed him to be in the driver’s seat for all things related to his career. In 2018 he teamed up with Grand Bay Recording Studios for his single ‘Last Cigarette’ and in 2020 he released his collaboration with fellow New Mexico artist, Jandro on ‘SouthWest Fiesta.’ A love letter to New Mexico, the video for ‘South West Fiesta’ garnered over a million views on YouTube in it’s first week. It’s safe to say Jawny BadLuck is an artist to keep an eye on with future collaborations and projects in the works.
