Sarah Bird

Sarah Bird is an award-winning Berlin-based, Australian singer-songwriter, renowned at home and abroad for the magical honesty of her voice and the powerful connection she creates with her audience. Her music pushes the boundaries of genre, merging folk with an electronic twist.
Growing up in her hometown of Glen Innes (N.S.W Australia), Bird’s passion for music began early. Listening to her parent's records, she fell in love with the sounds of Stevie Nicks, Karen Carpenter & Joni Mitchell. Influenced by these elegant songwriters & powerful front-women, Bird found an old, three-stringed guitar in the family garage, initiating an illustrious music career.

Among her many accolades, Bird is a German Songwriting Award nominee, 2x winner of the Musicoz Awards national songwriting competition, and finalist for the International Songwriting Competition(ISC), APRA Professional Development Award & John Butler Seeds Grant.

Bird is currently working on a number of exciting new projects, including collaborations with producer Patrick Liegl (Guesstimate), DJ and producer Mia Amare, (Germany), Douglas Romanow (Canada), Jess Henderson (London) and Tom Hunt (Grand Pavilion). Her first project with Mia Amare will see the release of their cover of a cult hit to be launched this March and will be shortly followed up with an original collaboration. Sarah Bird’s next singles, “Tightrope”, “Lights On” and “Slow Burn” will be available soon on all online platforms.
