Ezedike (pronounced Ez-uh-dee-kay) is a Nigerian word created by the Igbo tribe for their royalty - specifically meaning mighty king. Though he is American & non-binary, Ezedike chose this word (or rather felt that it chose him) to represent black excellence and to honor his position within the diaspora. In mid-2019 he moved to Chicago to furtively bring his art to fruition and work on the creation of his entertainment company, whose mission is to “elevate those marginalized through humanitarian pursuits and ambitious, compelling art.”
Though he is beginning his journey through music, he considers himself a storyteller and his work delves into other mediums of art. This wide range of artistic pursuit is owed to his performance background. His bold genre-bending music (which has been described as symphonic in approach) explores various facets of the experiences of queer people of color, while still containing universal themes. His company is history in the making - only one entertainment company prior to his has authored & produced content over a variety of vast mediums founded upon the vision of one person; The Walt Disney Company.
