After years of meticulously developing his craft, the Newfoundland born rapper introduced himself to the world at the tail-end of 2014, with the release of blog hit “They Call Me”, produced by Toronto’s own Solidmas featuring Nova Scotian hip-hop legend DJ IV.
In today’s rap climate, Nigel Lewis aka "Nasty" sets himself apart with not only his ability to rap, but with his fearlessness in baring his soul to the world. His unique cadence and smooth, seamless delivery employs impeccably constructed rhyme schemes. While Nigel is known for his soft-spoken demeanour, "Nasty" has become somewhat of an alter ego for his artistic expression.
Grinding his way through the ranks of the Canadian hip-hop scene, Nasty has been making a name for himself as a rising star. Performing across Atlantic Canada opening for artists such as Madchild, Merkules, Swollen Members, and Snak The Ripper.
Nasty's persistence and hard work paid off when he was able to collaborate with one of Canada's top hip-hop artists and producers in Classified. He was invited to record the track "Up'n Away" with Classified at the Juno Award winner's home studio in Enfield, Nova Scotia.
