Nigel "Legin" Anderson is a gospel hip hop and spoken word artist, speaker, and podcaster who uses transparency and art to connect with his listeners. From a background of abandonment, Legin has a message of forgiveness and speaks about fatherlessness, reconciliation and cultural topics all with the hope of the gospel in his music.
Legin’s spoken word EP Dark Room (2018) tells listeners that “pictures develop best in dark rooms” and that “all things work together” (Rom. 8:28) in the hands of God. Legin has appeared on stage with Lecrae and opened for artists like KB, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Tedashii, Social Club, Canon, Deraj, Aaron Cole, and Flame among others. He has produced and promoted tours and performed across the United States as well as in London, England; Nairobi, Kenya; and Pretoria and Cape Town, South Africa. His label Renaissance Movement, LLC Legin produced Lions in Suits (2016) as well as his Cloud 12 EP (2014), and more.
Through Expect Renaissance, his non-profit organization, Legin produced Safe House by RMM (2017) featuring fellow artists Sinai and Focus, and all album proceeds go to support a safe house in South Africa, to protect children from sex trafficking, and resulted in the launch of the Safe House Project, Inc. (2018).
Lastly, Legin recently launched the Fear Not Podcast on iTunes and YouTube encouraging listeners to go after their dreams and tackle tough topics in the face of very real fears...more
