Lenken comes from a musical family but never intended to pursue music or singing. He studying Business Computing but later down the track he had a burning desire to pursue his singing. After graduating from his Diploma, he decided to move to Australia and see where his dream would take him.
Shortly after arriving into Australia he auditioned for Australian Idol but was told to sing a different song in front of the executive judges. Lenken felt he had picked the right song and never went back to re-audition. A year later, he was homesick and decided to move back to Wellington New Zealand.
There were ads for New Zealand Idol and all his mates and his family dared him to audition but haunted by his Australian Idol experience, Lenken was not very keen. His family and friends insisted and he ended up auditioning. He was selected to join the Top 50 in Auckland Idol House. After going through all the stages, he was finally selected for the TOP 12.
Lenken moved back to Australia in 2007 and has been honing his craft ever since. He has performed in many festivals, private functions, weddings and for his Local church. He has been working on his songwriting and performance presence. He released his Debut Single YOUR LOVE in 2018. He has released 3 other Singles since. Lenken has collaborated with many local artists in Australia and New Zealand. He is currently working on more material for 2019.
