Evander’s Valley aim to inspire discovery through their ambient and relaxing style. Their melodic, soothing piano enables you to drift through their songs with ease, whilst maintaining a relaxing and focused mindset. With a ten track album, ‘Soft Piano’ more than achieves the entity of its title and proposition, making you feel like you’re at one with the mountains and surrounding woodlands.

‘Aurora’, the leading track on the album, seamlessly eases you into this style of music. With a major piano riff playing throughout, it almost seems to relate to a feeling of being uplifted and finding your way to the light at the end of the tunnel. The tender melody builds as the song goes on, resulting in some more modern, reversed synthesizer sounds coming through to climax the track, which is a welcome touch.

‘Faith’ is a totally different mood altogether, starting in a minor key and a slower tempo. The blend of synthesized sounds is heard once more but this time it sets a completely different tone, as if looking back at remorse or regret over something which has been done.

‘Linger’ concludes the album effortlessly, with a similar to feel to ‘Aurora’, giving that sense of wonderment and joy and that anything can happen. Throughout this album, it is more than evident that Evander’s Valley can provide the soundtrack to your day, and making it that bit more meaningful.
