Burak Yeter

Burak Yeter is a Netherlands-based producer, DJ, and remixer of Turkish descent. His music brings a global perspective to energetic, feel-good club music, combining progressive house with elements of Turkish as well as Western dance-pop and hip-hop, while maintaining awareness of important social issues. Yeter was born in Amsterdam in 1982 and began playing piano and guitar as a child. He formed hip-hop group Tatbikat in 1999, and studied civil engineering at Turkey's Akdeniz University. He developed his DJ skills, and won a DJ concert sponsored by MTV Dance in 2004. He began remixing numerous Turkish pop and dance artists, and his debut album For Action, Vol. 1 was released in 2005. For Message, Vol. 2 followed in 2007; the album's songs contained lyrics intended to raise awareness of global warming.

Yeter moved to London and attended SAE Institute, where he earned his Master's degree in sound engineering. In 2008, he became a certified DJ instructor with audio company Pioneer, and he opened DJ schools in Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Los Angeles.
