Doug Strahm

A prolific award winning singer/songwriter, Doug Strahm has been writing since high school and has released four albums and many music videos. His career gathered momentum much later in life when after failed marriages and raising his four children, he met his now husband and came out as a gay man in 1996. It was this moment in life he began writing songs of his truth and released his first album, “Everything Has Changed” which was nominated for several “Right Out TV” awards and the video “Leaving It Behind” won for the most moving video of the year. His second music video from the album, “Better This Way” went viral in the LGBTQ community and was featured in Huff Post Gay Voices, publications, and blogs all over the world. His second album “Freedom Rings” delivered an all inclusive message music video titled “Build Me A Bridge” about the hope for better future for the LGBTQ community. On his third album, he ventured across the pond and recorded vocals, piano and strings at Abbey Road Studios in London, after recording the initial tracks at the world famous Sweetwater Sound Studios in Fort Wayne, IN. The album also produced two music videos, “Maybe” and “Freedom Rings 2017” which was a celebration of Equality for same sex marriage. In 2021, Doug released his fourth album, “Long Long Road” after collaborating with his good friend and guitarist, Phil Rich. The album is his most recent project and is back to his rock n roll roots.
