Anji Collins is certainly no stranger to gospel music! God has had his arms around her since the day she was born! Her biological mother left her in the hospital at birth, she was then adopted at the age of three by Joseph and Valera Whiteside. The Lord strategically placed Anji in a home where she would have a solid foundation to grow and learn of the love of God.
Anji’s father Joseph Edgar Whiteside, a former camera man at the Ritz in Chicago, entrepreneur, had a love for artists in his era; such as Tommy Dorsey, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Count Basie, Lena Horne, Mahalia Jackson, Glen Miller and Lou Armstrong.
