Born in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria, Rich Crown hails from a royal family. His father, the late High Chief Asuwamo, and mother, a prophetess, instilled in him a deep appreciation for music. He began singing in church and listening to legendary Nigerian artists like King Sunny Ade, K1, and Ebenezer Obey. Rich Crown completed his elementary and secondary education in Akure before moving to Lagos. He studied Mass Communication at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu.
