I've come to think of it more as a safe place for me to process life through songwriting and connect with people who see pieces of their story reflected in the music. That's what I love most. I'm passionate about writing honest lyrics about love, loss, faith, doubt, suffering, persistence, hope and bravery. I think a lot about these things and I love hearing how the people who are listening experience each in their own lives. I've never been the artist who wants to stand at a distance from his audience.
