Katell is originally from France. She left Paris in 2006 to settle in Enschede (Netherlands) in order to pursue her vocal studies at the ArtEZ Conservatory. During her studies, she started to write and compose her own songs. In 2010, she won the prestigious singing contest ‘Concours de la Chanson de l’Alliance Française’ in Amstelveen.
In 2012, she released her first EP called 'Emmène-moi’ and toured with the band in various theatres in the Netherlands. Her album “Cœur d’Artichaut” has been released in November 2014 . The single “Vite Vite!’, Katell’s song of praise about the cycling race of her homeland could be heard on dutch national radios.
In 2016, she presented herself at the blind auditions of the Voice of Holland with the French song “Formidable” by Stromae ” – making the four chairs of the jury turn. With the help of her coach Guus Meeuwis, Katell reached the live shows and continued to sing in French.
In collaboration with the Dutch production company The Dreamlab, Katell toured in theaters in the Netherlands with “Deux Voix”; a show including songs of Jacques Brel and Stromae, mixing the music styles of these two great artists.
In May 2018 Katell released her EP “J’avance”; electronic elements and acoustic instruments merging into French songs.
Katell’s new single will be released in the summer of 2020 and followed by a tour in theaters in The Netherlands with her French and Dutch show 'Retour Amsterdam – Paris' starting in oktober 2020.
