Blueshift, a 4-piece Progressive Metal/Djent act, hailing from the Southern US, crashed onto the scene in early 2018 with their blazing debut singles, “Disconnect” (March 2018), “Undertow” (August 2018), and “Saudade” (October 2018).
Cody Riggins (Guitar/Secondary Vocals/Sampling) and David Clinard (Guitar/drum programming/lyricist) initially connected in 2011 and started composing riffs while in college under the name of a now defunct project, Annabel Lee. Recognizing that they needed some extra punch in order to launch their new musical venture, they reached out to the high caliber and former Stand Alone Complex vocalist, Josh Nunn (Lead Vocals), who joined the duo, bringing along one of his talented friends, Dakota Gomez (Bass), to complete the foursome, now known as Blueshift.
Acclaimed by listeners as ‘the second generation Periphery and Erra’, Blueshift derives inspiration from current powerhouses in the metal genre such as Invent Animate, After the Burial, and Northlane. Plunging ahead, Blueshift has maintained their ferocious momentum throughout 2019 and are teasing confirmation of active studio sessions in preparation for new music by year in 2020 - Nic Beardsley (Dear Untitled)...more
