Mure is a duo composed of Muriel and Germain who started cooperating in Marseille in 2014 by covering, among others, songs from the Velvet Underground and the Beatles.
Quite quickly, Germain embarked on his own compositions, influenced by English bands of the 80s/ 90s such as The Cure, The Clash, The Smiths or Blur. Muriel, also a fan of Blur and Brian Coxon, but also of Donovan and Pretty Things, writes texts in tune with this musical universe.
Mure’s signature is there: existential but light talk, posed on an 80’s pop music, full of melodies and layers of analog synthesizers.
Over time, the duo surrounded themselves with a group of four musicians to accompany him. To date, he has released two albums on the Tchoc record label....more
