I'm Owlist. I'm a beat maker, finger drummer and producer from India.
It all started back in college with DJing and that's how I got into making my own music. I'm highly inspired by old school hip hop and beat makers. I like to sample old music which came before my time. It helps me to connect with the art which we might never see again. I was influenced by the drum machines, I still am. And that got me into Finger Drumming. I can define my genre as soul-jazzy boom bap, chill, lo-fi kind.
I've performed alongside some amazing artists in the local scene and shows, including Mysa (music festival) opened for Matteo, Gently Altered 4th year tour with Sapta, Reproduce listening sessions, etc.
My music video was featured on VH1 and streamed on Lakme Fashion week , a web series called 'Insomnia' and a couple of different platforms....more
