Ervin Stellar is the performance name of Michigan native, Andrew Jordan. His mid-western roots no doubt gave rise to his mercurial blending of "heartland" sounds, twisting together influences like Bob Dylan, The Doors, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jimi Hendrix, CSNY, Wilco, and The Grateful Dead. Self-produced, the sound is of another era, escaping the confines of genre. His outlaw country tunes swing subtly into 70's rock and folk, while still maintaining a collective groove. The most recent album brings together a proficient cast of some of Brooklyn's finest, including Jim Campilongo, Luca Benedetti, and Tony Garnier of Bob Dylan's band.
