Berliner Daniel Boon delivers a heavy dose of Techno in his “Julio” EP, racking up two similarly titled that complement each other, adjoined by a remix from Kuukou label chief Simina Grigoriu and the one and only Torsten Kanzler. Moving to the realm of sub bass percussion and tunnelling synths comes in "Julio", an equally compelling piece with its distinct melody and its impeding lead line. Simina Grigoriu chimes in on the remix for "Julio", undercutting the main groove and morphing it into a more playful yet solemn reconstruction. "Juno" kicks off with a sturdy bassline that aims straight to the core: cavernous and monumental, it completely envelops the listener in an instant. TRK main man Torsten Kanzler sings off the final rework, a glitch heavy, immersive and powerful Techno exploration. Brimming with energy, all four tracks stand out and offer intense, energy-driven tools to stir up any dancefloor.
