DJ Dashcam returns to the label for more funky frolicking on the ‘Before EP’. With a mission to absorb electronic music since moving to the US as a teenager, Dashcam’s natural progression would see him first master the decks before taking on production. Now signed to a host of great labels including Nurvous, Swerve Digital and more his affinity for funk is well documented. ‘Before’ opens up the pack with a solid mid set disco house groove. Percussive and vibey, this is perfect ‘walk-dancing to the dancefloor’ music. With ‘Fresh’ we’re quickly into the discofied house vibes of Dashcam. Rubbery bass, guitar licks and live interludes keep the groove bouncing. ‘You Make Me Feel’ is a lighter affair. Rhodesy keys and an upbeat vocal marry the skippy garage percussions for a joyous expression of love.
