On his Debut album, Phyl The Kangogo dives into some new territory he calls it Afro-urban a fresh sound that is rooted in afrobeat but great influences from classical music,rhythms and melodies from different African Cultures. There are lulling campfire songs and gritty rock grooves, frenetic jazz saxophones and menacing trap drums. HeadWraped is all about what he's currently undergoing as a young thriving artist ,his love for his mother ,girl and his new face in life he'd call it 'Head Rape' .In "attention!" he combines all of those elements with dancehall to create three of the most astounding minutes of his new musical journey.
Experimentation allows him to seamlessly combine incongruous textures and moods.
