“Rock Star” has a vibe that invites all House music lovers to the spotlight through live vocals performed by none other than Johan Greaves. Written and Co-produced by The Wisemen and Johan Greaves, “Rock Star” received the green light for a spring 2009 campaign. This title was included on the Mi Casa Records WMC 2009 Promo CD which received tons of praise from prominent DJ’s, columnists and producers all over the globe. Darkman adds his Midas touch to the “Original Mix” which consists of patchy guitar hooks, bouncing baselines, sweet vocal licks and intense programming all carefully melded together to achieve a live rock stage appeal. The “Latin Jazz Mix” is a fantastic rework which includes some dirty fender Rhodes strikes by The Boy Wonder and some fancy jazz guitar solos by Adrian Eccleston who has shared the stage with Kylie Minogue, Nelly Furtado and Divine Brown. A third mix has been added to the “Rock Star” roster called the “Rock More Mix” produced by the clever Cyruss Sanchez, but you will have to check that one out for yourselves.
